US Bank, Driggs

Driggs, Idaho

First Bank of the Tetons wanted to establish a strong identity with a landmark building for the rapidly growing town center of Driffs, Idaho. A tribute to the generational farming tradition of the surrounding community and landscape, the distinctive design features a central “silo” formed by a 21-foot diameter galvanized steel grain bin. Hollow on the inside, this unique feature serves double-duty as a light well and ventilation shaft, drawing abundant natural light into the check-writing area in front of the bank’s teller line.

Other elements that connect the structure to the surrounding community, heritage, and landscape include custom stonework and strong lines formed with rugged beams. The innovative design is visually intriguing as well as highly functional for staff and customers alike.
