Fremont County School District No. 2, Athletic Field Replacement
Fremont County, Wyomigng
From sports practice to physical education classes, students need outdoor spaces that represent the same quality as their classrooms and other interior spaces. In Dubois, the turf field at the school was failing. Our K-12 Athletic Field Replacement project included tearing out the failing turf, removing the irrigation system, and ripping the soils to an 18-inch depth. In addition to tilling in soil amendments to properly balance the soils, our team installed a new irrigation system and a new turf field with permanent athletic line marking whiskers.
Adjacent to the main athletic field, we installed a shot put and discus-throwing area with concrete curbing and a sand pit. Beneath the surface, a runoff drainage collection system removes storm water runoff from the field of play, ensuring that the new turf will thrive for many seasons.
“The project was very successful, on budget and finished on time. It was evident early on that we were in good hands. Garett and his team are very knowledgeable and experienced in putting together and executing a project.”
